Wald in Pinzgau is a quaint little tourist town with approx. 1,300 inhabitants. Close to the town are very good tourist attractions, in Summer, the world-famous Krimml waterfalls, which are only a few kilometers away, for the winter sport guests, we have interesting ski resorts which are particularly attractive such as Hochkrimml, Gerlosplatte and Königsleiten and which are integrated in the Zillertal Arena. On the other side lies the Wildkogel ski area, which is only 4 km away and has been in recent years continuously improved and expanded. For hikers, there are countless hiking trails, for the extreme climber there is the Großvenediger group or the Krimml Achental, one of the most beautiful high lying valleys in Pinzgau and is connected to the Italy Alpine.
The famous Zillertal can be reached by car in about 45 minutes, about 40 minutes to Kitzbühel and to Zell am See, about 50 minutes.
A new swimming complex was built about 3 years ago with indoor and outdoor pools and a great sauna and spa area with treatments.
In Königsleiten is the famous planetarium. Furthermore, there is a small track railway from Krimml to Zell am See and is very attractive for tourists.
